Experiences Canada is pleased to partner with Wisdom2Action to bring 8 alumni youth to their upcoming national conference on Youth Engagement to be held in Toronto May 15-16. Youth engagement is about empowering all young people as valuable partners in addressing and making decisions about issues that affect them personally and/or that they believe to be important. The conference will provide participants with greater knowledge and insight into best practices for engaging and mobilizing youth, enhancing their capacity as youth leaders and agents of change in their own communities.

Experiences Canada Yearbook
Each year we produce a digital yearbook from the stories, videos, photos and other reflections of our participants. Please share your experience with us here. Experiences Canada also seeks volunteers to assist with the compilation and editing of the yearbook. If you are interested you can contact us here.
Experiences Canada is a national charitable organization that helps young Canadians to explore their country in ways they never could have imagined through exchanges and youth forums. Each group spends time in the other group’s community, typically in another province, discovering first hand Canada’s diversity of language, history, culture and traditions, as well as contemporary challenges and opportunities.
Apply to YAC
Experiences Canada knows providing the best possible experience for young people is impossible without their input! The Experiences Canada Youth Advisory Committee, known as “The YAC”, is made up of youth from across Canada who provide us with their perspective on how we can improve our exchange programs. The YAC helps to raise awareness for Experiences Canada and undertakes a variety of activities to help us offer a better experience for our participants!

Experiences Canada 150&Me, a Canada 150 signature initiative, was a unique multi-destination youth event and series of regional forums for young people between the ages of 14 and 19, held across Canada over a three-month period culminating in Ottawa the week of Canada Day, 2017.
150&Me involved more than 3900 young Canadians in a national conversation about Canada’s future. The topics covered included: Environment; Human Rights; Relationship with Indigenous Communities; Canada’s Place in the World; Immigration, Diversity and Canadian Identity; Education and Innovation.
The Canada 150&Me Legacy book is a fabulous keepsake highlighting the best of the Canada 150&Me visits to Vancouver, Montreal, Halifax, Winnipeg & Ottawa. Get a free digital download here, or purchase the print magazine on Blurb.
Experiences Canada is currently developing a new series of Youth Leadership Forums that will engage young Canadians in a more intensive exploration of the issues they care most about through week-long programs that include mentorship, leadership training, and hands on community service. We hope to launch the new program during the 2018-2019 school year.
We are not currently taking registration for youth forums. If you would like to be put on our mailing list for news and alerts please, you can register here.
